Good Thing These Guys Can Ball…

Ever wonder what plethora of talents the youth of the NBA possess?  I can name many, such as being strong, fast, quick, agile, etc. etc. etc.  And thanks to Panini America, I can confidently say what many of them can not do: draw.  Late this summer, at the 2012 Rookie Transition Program, Panini America gave NBA rookies that chance to show of their artistic abilities.  Ummmm….Good Effort, Good Job!
Check out what some of UK’s young NBA Superstars created with pen and paper.
Enes Kanter Sketch
We love the UnderKanter (Enes Kanter), but this probably resembles a character from Winnie the Pooh rather than a Wildcat.
MKG USA Sketch
MKG wants the world to know that he has a goal; watch out Rio de Janeiro, MKG is coming and he’s going to be wearing the red, white and blue!

While MKG plans on representing the USA in the 2016 Olympics, I think it’s safe to say that a career as an illustrator is not in his future.  I’ll give him credit, his Wildcat is more menacing than Enes’, but why is hit being hit over the head with a UK baby rattle?
The winner of the group was clearly Anthony Davis.  Leave it to Davis to promote his brand.  Of course, I call shenanigans, as it isn’t fair.  Davis simply drew what he sees in the mirror on a daily basis.

In all seriousness, we love these guys.  And honestly, I couldn't do much better.

Wanna see what other NBA Rookies did?  Check out Panini America’s gallery here.
